A small seven-year-old boy who has noticed something others haven't—the weekly memory loss affecting Bellhollow's adults. Unlike other children, Timmy seems aware of the curse and importantly, he remembers when he should forget. This makes him fundamentally different and dangerous to the pale figure that preys on Bellhollow's residents.
Timmy has demonstrated exceptional courage by intervening directly with the pale figure in the village square, pulling off its grey cloak and revealing it to be hollow—merely empty rags with no corporeal form beneath. The figure dissipated into shadow when exposed. His father, Big Timmy, was freed from its influence by this action but is now confused about the events that transpired.
Aldwin, the Village Elder, has confirmed that Timmy's unique ability to retain memories makes him dangerous to the curse and sets him apart from other children who are being taken into the mist."

Pete the postman travels from village to village delivering post on his trusty unicycle. He has recently arrived in Bellhollow and discovered a horrifying mystery: children are vanishing from the village, and worse, they are being erased from the memories of their own families. The only evidence of their existence are letters they wrote to their families before disappearing, messages like "To Mother, in case I forget." Pete is beginning to understand that the village is cursed, and the pale figure roaming the streets is responsible for taking the children into the mist while erasing all memory of them.
