Slippy Steve is a regular customer at Big Jumbo Juice!, where he enjoys the signature Grape Bubble Blaster drink. His excessive bubbles give him a slippery demeanor that allows him to move smoothly and effortlessly through social situations.

Steve possesses deep, detailed knowledge about Hot Tub City's conspiracy. He understands the critical difference between natural, carbonated bubbles in his drink versus the sinister bubbles in the Central Immersion Basin. He knows that the basin contains treated water with no visible drain, temperature fluctuations that seem alive, and is controlled by the Tub-master from a hidden Control Room. Steve is acutely aware that people have been disappearing following the Three-year-old mandate (the Total Immersion Act).

Despite his bubble-loving reputation and outward comfort with the city's obsession, Steve is part of the tubless resistance movement. He demonstrates strategic awareness and the ability to read people, using his slippery demeanor to move through social situations while gathering intelligence. He is building connections with other resistance members, most notably beginning an unexpected alliance with Jonny Dry Skin at Big Jumbo Juice!.

A weathered man with sharp, suspicious eyes from the Lake Lands who deeply distrusts hot tubs and the hot tub culture of Hot Tub City. Originally from the lake lands, Jonny knew REAL water before coming to the city.

Jonny is part of the tubless resistance—those who reject and resist Hot Tub City's mandatory hot tub culture. He has learned and uses the tubless salute, a gesture that identifies fellow resistors to one another. The salute has become a symbol of trust and unity among those who seek to uncover the truth about what's really happening in the city.

Jonny possesses a worn, creased map that marks locations of interest related to his investigation. He has a cautious, wary demeanor and is skilled at moving through crowds unseen, gravitating toward shadowed corners and away from neon lights.

Recently, at Big Jumbo Juice!, Jonny encountered Slippy Steve—a seemingly excessive bubble enthusiast—and recognized in him a fellow traveler in the resistance.
