Barry "Really Smart And Handsome" Trotters
Barry "Really Smart And Handsome" Trotters, The boy who stayed alive! With his magic bird pet Gerp and his wand, he can do anything! Known for his confidence (and sometimes overconfidence) in his magical abilities. He attempted the Luminara Charm four times in Professor Thornwick's Spellwork & Enchantments class, with increasingly catastrophic results. His first three attempts created chaotic bursts of golden sparks and nearly set a curtain ablaze, prompting Professor Thornwick to threaten a visit to the Headmaster's office. Despite this warning, Barry cast the spell a fourth time with "absolute determination," causing a CATASTROPHIC EXPLOSION that engulfed half the classroom in blinding golden light and chaotic magical energy. Books flew off shelves, papers scattered everywhere, and a curtain burst into flames. Professor Thornwick extinguished the fire and immediately ordered Barry to the Headmaster's office. Rather than obey, Barry defiantly shouted "WITH GUSTO!" and hurled himself through the classroom window. Gerp caught him mid-fall and carried him safely to the Bogwarts Quad below. Barry then voluntarily rushed back into the castle and stormed into the Headmaster's Office with fierce determination. When the Headmaster gave him a chance to explain, Barry instead insisted on demonstrating the Luminara Charm to prove his mastery. This resulted in another CATASTROPHIC EXPLOSION in the Headmaster's office itself, scorching a mahogany bookshelf, setting a tapestry ablaze, scattering papers everywhere, and toppling magical artifacts from their pedestals. The Headmaster extinguished the flames and ordered Barry to sit down for a serious discussion about accountability and control. However, Barry refused to accept responsibility, defiantly challenging the Headmaster's authority. When the Headmaster gave him another chance to take responsibility, Barry instead leaped from his chair with "WITH GUSTO!!!" and hurled himself through the Headmaster's office window once again. Gerp caught him safely and carried him to the Bogwarts Quad. This second defiance of the Headmaster himself has escalated the situation dramatically—the Headmaster's silence after Barry's escape suggests grave consequences may be imminent. Barry's continued enrollment at Bogwarts itself now hangs in the balance.
